Zeely reviews and Zeely AI reviews with real costs, complaints and whether Zeely is legit

The short answer

Zeely is a mobile-first AI ad maker for small sellers, run by Zeely, Inc. of Wilmington, Delaware. On 13 October 2026 Trustpilot shows 4.3 from 4,283 reviews, with 65 percent five-star and 12 percent one-star, and the US App Store shows 4.6 from 23,029 ratings. The website sells three monthly plans: Starter at $29.95 for 2,500 credits, Plus at $49.95 for 5,000 and Growth at $79.95 for 10,000, each beside a higher crossed-out price. Launching Meta ads through Zeely adds a service fee of 12 percent of the ad budget, cut to 6 percent by a $39.95 a year add-on called Booster. Payments are non-refundable by default, uninstalling the app does not cancel, and Apple purchases can only be cancelled or refunded through Apple. Of the 20 most recent one-star reviews, 11 are about charges, cancellations or refunds.

Most people searching for Zeely reviews have seen the ads, liked the price on the first screen and want to know two things before entering a card: is this a real company, and what will it actually cost. The scores answer the first question quickly. The second takes more reading, because Zeely's pricing page, its cost guide, its payment guide and its terms do not always agree with each other.

This review is built from material read on 13 October 2026: Zeely's pricing page, its terms of service (last updated 18 September 2026), its subscription and refund policy (dated 12/04/2025), three of its own guides on cost, payment and cancellation (all edited on 9 or 10 October 2026), its US App Store listing, and Trustpilot, including the 20 most recent one-star reviews. Where two Zeely pages contradict each other we quote both.

One note on who is writing. AdsGen makes UGC ad scripts from a product URL and renders the ones you pick as vertical video ads, so we compete with Zeely for some buyers. For a first-time seller who wants campaigns launched for them, Zeely does more than we do, and the section on where it wins says so.

Our verdict

3.4/5

Worth it for a first-time seller who wants ads made and launched from a phone. A poor fit once you run your own ad account or spend more than a few hundred dollars a month.

Zeely is a legitimate AI ad app from a Delaware company, and most of its customers like it: 4.3 on Trustpilot from 4,283 reviews and 4.6 on the US App Store from 23,029 ratings. It makes static and video ads from a product link and can launch Facebook and Instagram campaigns for you. The catch is the money around the product. Website plans run $29.95 to $79.95 a month beside crossed-out prices of $49.95 to $149.95, Zeely can take up to 12 percent of the ad budget it launches, payments are non-refundable by default, and about 514 Trustpilot reviewers gave it one star. Buy it if you are new to paid social and want hand-holding. Skip it if you already work in Ads Manager.

How Zeely scores, category by category

Ease of use for beginners

4.5

The thing reviewers praise most. Paste a product link, get image and video ads, and launch a Meta campaign without opening Ads Manager. Most five-star reviews come from first-time advertisers.

Creative output

3.4

Static ads, video ads, talking reels, avatars and batch variations in one app. Recurring criticism is that avatars read as AI and that results need several tries, each costing credits.

Value for money

3.2

Cheap to start at $29.95 a month. The fee of up to 12 percent of ad spend overtakes the subscription at about $666 a month of budget on Growth and keeps growing with spend.

Pricing clarity

2.3

Two prices on every card with no statement of which renews, no published credit cost per video, a separate App Store price list, and a payment guide that lists different credit amounts from the pricing page.

Billing and refunds

2.4

Non-refundable by default, refunds at Zeely's discretion, charge retries at any time in the period. Eleven of the 20 newest one-star reviews are about charges, cancelling or refunds.

Support and trust

4.0

A real US-registered company that answers 99 percent of negative Trustpilot reviews, usually within a day, and publishes its policies. Disputes go to individual arbitration.

Zeely is an app that makes ads and launches the campaigns for you, on credit plans plus a percentage of the ad budget it runs. AdsGen writes a batch of UGC ad scripts from a product URL and renders the ones you pick as vertical presenter ads, on published plans, and never touches your ad account or your media spend.

Side by side

AdsGen vs Zeely, honestly

Two different products that overlap on one job. Here is where they differ, including where we lose.

What matters AdsGen Zeely
What you are buying UGC ad scripts from a product URL, and the ones you pick rendered as video An app that makes ads and launches the campaigns
Who it is built for Brands and marketers who run their own ad accounts First-time sellers who want ads run for them
Entry price $99 a month, $49 billed yearly $29.95 a month, crossed out at $49.95
Fee on your ad budget None, we never touch your ad account 12% of Meta budget, 6% with Booster
Unit on the plan Script batches and a set number of renders Credits, cost per video not published
Scripts and hooks written for you Up to 20 variations per batch, six angles Ad copy and scripts inside each creative
Static image ads No Yes, including batches
Campaign launch and tracking No, you upload to your own ad account Yes, Facebook and Instagram from the app
Mobile app No, web only Yes, iPhone and Android
Video format 9:16 with burned-in captions Several ad sizes and formats
Try before paying Script demo on your own URL, no card Paid plans, discounted first cycle on some

What each one costs

Zeely's website shows three monthly plans and no free column: Starter at $29.95 for 2,500 credits, Plus at $49.95 for 5,000 and Growth, badged most popular, at $79.95 for 10,000. Each card carries a higher crossed-out price ($49.95, $89.95 and $149.95) and none says which figure renews. The refund policy says a discounted first cycle continues at the standard rate for the option you selected, so the careful budget is the crossed-out number. All three plans list the same twelve features, which means the only thing you choose is the credit count, and Zeely does not publish how many credits a finished video ad costs. If Zeely launches your Meta campaigns there is a second charge: a service fee its cost guide puts at 12 percent of the ad budget, or 6 percent with the $39.95 a year Booster. The iPhone app sells its own list, from a 1-Week Plan at $19.99 to a 3-Month Plan at $119.99.

Pricing and features are taken from each product's own site and change often, so check the latest before you buy.

In depth

The Zeely review in full

What Zeely reviews say, in the reviewers' own terms

The headline numbers are good. Trustpilot shows a TrustScore of 4.3 from 4,283 reviews on 13 October 2026, with 65 percent five-star and 16 percent four-star. The US App Store shows 4.6 from 23,029 ratings, and 84 percent of those are five stars. Zeely also collects reviews quickly: Trustpilot held 3,796 when we read it in September, so about 487 arrived in roughly four weeks, and the ten newest were all posted within a single day.

The happy reviews repeat a short list. The app is simple, a first ad appears within minutes, and nobody needed a designer or an editor. Many of these writers say they are new to marketing or new to AI, which matches the customer Zeely advertises to. A four-star review from this week sums up the fair version: easy to use, output is great, but it takes practice and credits.

The unhappy reviews are a smaller group with a consistent story. Twelve percent of 4,283 is about 514 one-star reviews, and they are mostly not about the ads. They are about money.

Is Zeely legit or a scam?

Zeely is legit. It is operated by Zeely, Inc., which lists a registered address in Wilmington, Delaware, publishes its terms of service and a subscription and refund policy, sells through the Apple App Store, and says it is trusted by more than 2,000,000 customers. It answers 99 percent of negative Trustpilot reviews, typically within 24 hours, and every one of the 20 newest one-star reviews had a reply asking the customer to email its trust team.

The word scam shows up in reviews because of billing, not because the product is fake. People describe a charge they did not expect after a cheap first period, a charge after they thought they had cancelled, or a refund that was refused. In nearly every case the policy allowed what happened. That is a different problem from fraud, and it has a practical fix: read the four rules in the next section before you pay.

One structural point belongs here too. The terms open with an arbitration notice. Disputes go to binding individual arbitration, you waive the right to join a class action, and Delaware law applies. That is common in US consumer software, and it means the cheapest moment to settle a billing question is before the first charge.

Why the one-star Zeely reviews are mostly about billing

We sorted the 20 most recent one-star Trustpilot reviews, dated 26 September to 12 October 2026, by their main complaint. Eleven are about charges, cancelling or refunds. Six are about output quality or not being able to work the app. Two are about ad spend and Meta. One is a general complaint.

Four clauses in Zeely's own documents explain most of the eleven. First, the refund policy says that after a discounted first cycle "your subscription will continue at the standard rate for the option you selected", and to avoid that rate you must cancel before the promotional period ends. Second, Zeely uses several charging retries after a failed payment, so it "may charge you for current subscription period at any time during such period". Third, "uninstalling Zeely does not result in the cancellation of your subscription". Fourth, anything bought through the Apple App Store is managed by Apple, and Zeely says it cannot help with cancelling or refunding it.

Put those beside the complaints and they stop looking random. Reviewers who write that they were charged during a trial ran into the first rule. Reviewers who deleted the app ran into the third. The step-by-step version, with the refund deadlines, is in our guide to cancelling a Zeely subscription and asking for a refund.

The fee most Zeely reviews skip

The subscription pays for the tools. If you let Zeely launch your Facebook and Instagram campaigns, there is a second bill. Zeely's pricing FAQ says running those ads involves additional charges, "with Zeely potentially charging up to 12%", and its cost guide is more direct: "The fee is 12% of your Meta ad budget. With Booster, it drops to 6%." Booster costs $39.95 a year.

A flat subscription and a percentage fee behave very differently as you grow. At $200 a month of ad spend the fee is $24. At about $666 it equals the whole $79.95 Growth plan. At $2,000 it is $240, three times the subscription, and Zeely's own example puts that month at $2,319.95 including the ad budget. At $5,000 the fee alone is $600 a month.

Two statements in the same cost guide do not survive a calculator. It says that if your budget is over $500, Booster "usually pays for itself in the first month". Booster saves six percentage points, so on $500 it saves $30 in month one against a $39.95 price; it only pays back inside one month from about $666 of spend. The guide also says Zeely "does not take a cut of your Meta budget" a few paragraphs after describing a fee of 12 percent of that budget. The terms add that payments connected to advertising campaigns are generally non-refundable. The plan-by-plan numbers are in our Zeely pricing breakdown.

Where Zeely contradicts itself

Zeely's own pages disagree on points that affect a budget, so confirm them in your account before you rely on any one of them.

Credits per plan. The pricing page and the cost guide say Starter includes 2,500 credits, Plus 5,000 and Growth 10,000. Zeely's payment methods guide, edited on 9 October 2026, lists "Starter: 500 credits, Plus: 750 credits, Growth: 1000 credits". That is a gap of five to ten times on the one number that separates the plans.

What happens to credits. The payment guide says extra credits "never expire with renewals". The terms, updated 18 September 2026, say unused credits "may expire or be removed upon termination or expiration of your subscription", and that Zeely may cancel or eliminate credits at any time at its sole discretion. One of the newest one-star reviews describes exactly that: prepaid credits removed after a three-month absence.

The starting price. The pricing FAQ says plans start "at $19.99 per month". No website card shows $19.99; the cheapest is $29.95. The $19.99 figure matches the weekly items in the iPhone app.

Pausing. The cancellation guide says "Zeely does let you pause". The cost guide answers the same question with "you can cancel and re-activate later" with support's help.

The unlimited week. The September terms describe up to seven days of unlimited generation for new users on eligible models, capped at five concurrent generations and 1,000 creatives a week, and point to a page listing restricted models. That page returned a 404 on 13 October 2026.

Zeely app reviews and the App Store price list

The iPhone app is where Zeely's ratings are strongest, 4.6 from 23,029 with 84 percent five-star, and it is also where the prices are least like the website. The website cards are each marked "Available only on the site". The App Store listing sells a 1-Week Plan at $19.99, a 1-Month Plan at $59.99, a 2-Month Plan at $85.99 and a 3-Month Plan at $119.99.

The comparison is not flattering to the app. A month on the App Store is $59.99 where the website's Starter shows $29.95. A weekly plan at $19.99 works out to about $87 a month. A pack of 100 credits is $9.99, almost 10 cents a credit, while Growth on the web is 0.8 cents a credit, about twelve times cheaper. The listing also includes an item named 3D Trial Plan at $19.99 and does not explain on the page what it renews into.

The second consequence is practical. If you subscribe inside the iPhone app, Apple owns the subscription. Zeely's policy says it cannot cancel or refund it, so a complaint to Zeely support goes nowhere and the request has to be made to Apple. Subscribe on the website if you want the lower price and a refund request Zeely is able to consider.

Is Zeely worth it? Yes for a first campaign, less so after it

Zeely is worth paying for if you have never run paid social, sell a handful of products and want to go from a product link to a live Facebook or Instagram campaign without learning Ads Manager. For that buyer the service fee is the price of having the campaign set up, moderated and monitored from a phone, and the reviews from first-time advertisers are mostly happy ones.

It is harder to justify in three situations. If you already run your own ad account, you are paying a percentage for automation you do not need. If your budget passes a few hundred dollars a month, the fee overtakes the subscription and keeps climbing. And if you need to forecast cost per ad, you cannot: credits have no published price per video, and the reviews that mention quality describe several attempts before a usable result.

The terms on output are reasonable for an advertiser. You keep title to what you make and may use it commercially. You also grant Zeely a perpetual, transferable and sublicensable license over your uploads and the resulting materials for running, improving and developing its services, which is worth knowing if you upload unreleased products.

Where Zeely beats us outright, and you should buy it instead

If you want the campaign launched for you, buy Zeely. It connects to Meta, builds the campaign, publishes it and reports results in the same app. We stop at the finished video file and you upload it yourself.

If you need static ads, buy Zeely. It makes image ads, batches of variations and display formats. We make video only.

If you work from a phone, buy Zeely. It has iPhone and Android apps with more than 23,000 App Store ratings. We are a web product.

If you want the lowest entry price, Zeely's $29.95 Starter is well under our $49 a month on yearly billing, and for someone spending $100 to $200 a month on ads the 12 percent fee is a small number.

If you want one tool for store pages, creatives and campaigns, Zeely covers more of that ground than we do.

What AdsGen does instead, including what it will not do

You paste a product URL. We read the page for the product, its claims and its images, and write a batch of up to 20 UGC-style scripts across six angles, each with its own hook. You pick the scripts worth filming and we render them as 720p vertical videos with AI presenters and burned-in captions, ready to upload to TikTok, Meta or Shorts from your own ad account. Prices are on the pricing page: Starter is $99 a month or $49 billed yearly for 4 script batches and 1 rendered video a month, up to Enterprise with 120 batches and 12 renders. There is no credit meter and no percentage of your ad spend, at any budget.

The limits, stated before you sign up. We do not launch, manage or report on campaigns, so you need to be comfortable in Ads Manager or TikTok Ads Manager. Renders are a small fixed number each month, so we do not suit a team that needs dozens of finished videos. Presenters are generated, so they are not customers and must never be presented as testimonials. Output is 9:16 only, in English, with captions burned in, and there are no static image ads. It works from a product URL, so a thin product page gives the model less to work with.

The side-by-side for a brand choosing between the two is on our Zeely alternative page, and Zeely against its closest rival is in Zeely vs Creatify.

Good questions

Zeely, answered

Yes. Zeely is a real AI ad app operated by Zeely, Inc., registered in Wilmington, Delaware. It holds 4.3 on Trustpilot from 4,283 reviews and 4.6 on the US App Store from 23,029 ratings, publishes its terms and refund policy, and replies to 99 percent of negative Trustpilot reviews. Complaints are mostly about billing rules, not a fake product.
Most are positive. On Trustpilot 65 percent of 4,283 reviews are five-star, praising how quickly a beginner can make and launch an ad. About 12 percent are one-star, roughly 514 reviews. Of the 20 newest one-star reviews, 11 concern charges, cancellations or refunds and 6 concern output quality or difficulty using the app.
No. Zeely delivers a working product and has tens of thousands of ratings. The scam accusations in reviews come from billing surprises: a higher standard rate after a discounted first period, charges after uninstalling the app without cancelling, and refunds refused under a policy that makes payments non-refundable by default. Read the refund policy before paying.
On the website, Starter is $29.95 a month for 2,500 credits, Plus is $49.95 for 5,000 and Growth is $79.95 for 10,000, shown beside crossed-out prices of $49.95, $89.95 and $149.95. If Zeely runs your Meta ads it also charges a service fee of 12 percent of the ad budget, or 6 percent with the $39.95 a year Booster.
Yes, when you launch campaigns through it. Zeely's pricing FAQ says it may charge up to 12 percent, and its cost guide states the fee is 12 percent of your Meta ad budget, dropping to 6 percent with Booster. On $1,000 of monthly ad spend that is $120, or $60 with Booster, on top of the subscription.
Not by default. The policy says payments are non-refundable except where the law requires. Zeely may grant an optional refund at its discretion, and it calls that decision final. Requests go to its support email within 120 days of a card payment or 180 days of a PayPal payment. Purchases made through Apple must be refunded by Apple.
In the app, tap your current plan, then Manage Subscription, Change Plan and Cancel subscription, choose a reason and confirm. On the web, use Subscription in the account menu. Access runs until the expiry date shown. If you subscribed through the iPhone App Store, cancel in your Apple subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel anything.
It is worth it for a first-time seller who wants static and video ads plus a Meta campaign launched from a phone, at ad budgets of a few hundred dollars a month. It is weaker value for anyone who already runs their own ad account, because the percentage fee rises with spend and credits have no published cost per video.
No. The website plans are marked as available only on the site and start at $29.95 a month. The US App Store sells a 1-Week Plan at $19.99, a 1-Month Plan at $59.99 and a 3-Month Plan at $119.99, plus 100 credits for $9.99. Per credit, the App Store pack costs about twelve times the web Growth plan.
It depends on what you want to keep. Creatify is the closest like-for-like tool for product video ads. If you already run your own ad account and mainly need creative, AdsGen writes up to 20 UGC ad scripts from a product URL and renders the ones you pick as 9:16 presenter ads, with no fee on your ad spend.

Try AdsGen on your product

Paste a product URL and see a full batch of UGC ad scripts with hooks for every angle, then render the ones you pick as captioned video ads, ready to run.
