Higgsfield API Pricing 2026 and Cost Per 30-Second Ad

The Higgsfield API is pay per generation from a prepaid dollar balance, with no subscription and a $5 minimum. A 30-second ad costs from about $1.70 on Hailuo 2.3 to $13.87 on Seedance 2.5 at 720p at list. Plan credits do not work on it, a used Plus plan is cheaper above about four Seedance ads a month, and Veo, Sora 2 and talking avatars are not in the API at all.

The Higgsfield API is pay per generation from a prepaid US dollar balance, with a $5 minimum top-up and no subscription. It is priced per second of output by model: Kling 3.0 Standard from $0.084 a second at list, Wan 3.0 at $0.10 a second for 720p and Seedance 2.5 at $0.4622 a second for 720p, so a single 30-second ad runs from about $1.70 on Hailuo 2.3 to $13.87 on Seedance 2.5 at 720p, before any discount and before retries. A Higgsfield subscription does not include API access and plan credits do not work on it. Veo, Sora 2, lip sync and talking avatar video are not in the API catalog at all. We read the pricing page, the public model catalog, the docs and the API terms on 8 October 2026.

This guide is for the developer or agency about to fund a Higgsfield API balance to generate ad footage from code. It covers what each model costs, what a finished 30-second ad costs, when a Higgsfield plan is cheaper than the API, and the terms that matter if you make ads for clients. If you are comparing the web plans instead, our Higgsfield pricing breakdown covers the subscription ladder, and the Higgsfield review scores the product as a whole.

How much does the Higgsfield API cost?

It costs what the model costs, per second of video or per image, drawn from your balance. Higgsfield publishes a list price and a discounted price for every model in a public catalog. The discounted column is the best rate an account can reach through the launch offer, which we explain below, so plan your budget on the list column and treat the discount as upside.

Video modelResolutionList per secondBest discount
Seedance 2.5480p$0.2056$0.144
Seedance 2.5720p$0.4622about $0.3235
Seedance 2.51080p$1.1372$0.7961
Seedance 2.0480p$0.1407$0.0985
Kling 3.0 StandardUp to 15s$0.084 to $0.126$0.042 to $0.063
Kling 3.0 ProUp to 15s$0.112 to $0.168$0.056 to $0.084
Wan 3.0720p$0.10$0.05
Wan 3.01080p$0.20$0.10
MiniMax Hailuo 2.3768p$0.0467 to $0.056$0.0117 to $0.014
Cinema Studio 4.0720p$0.4623No discount

Two details change the arithmetic. Seedance and Higgsfield's own Cinema Studio are billed by tokens computed from width, height and seconds, and video inputs you upload are billed too, at 0.6 times the rate. A 9:16 frame has the same pixel count as 16:9, so vertical ads cost the same as landscape. Kling 3.0 shows two rates per tier that match the audio off and audio on prices other hosts publish, and Higgsfield does not label which is which, so budget on the higher one. Audio is on by default for Seedance, Wan and Kling.

Images are cheap by comparison: Soul 2 costs $0.0032 at 720p, Marketing Studio Image starts at $0.0126 at list, Ideogram 4.0 is $0.03 and Recraft 4.1 is $0.035 an image.

What a 30-second ad costs on the Higgsfield API

Most ad clips are not one 30-second generation, because several models cap a clip at 10 or 15 seconds. The table below is our arithmetic for one successful 30-second vertical ad on each model, stitched from the clip lengths each model allows.

Model and setupAt listAt best discount
Seedance 2.5 720p, one 30s clip$13.87about $9.71
Seedance 2.5 480p, one 30s clip$6.17$4.32
Wan 3.0 1080p, one 30s clip$6.00$3.00
Kling 3.0 Pro, two 15s clips$5.04$2.52
Wan 3.0 720p, one 30s clip$3.00$1.50
Hailuo 2.3, three 10s clips$1.68$0.42

Then apply a keeper rate. Generative video rarely lands on the first take, and if one generation in three is good enough to run, a usable Seedance 2.5 ad at 720p costs about $42 at list. The cheaper models are tempting for that reason, but the gap in output quality is the whole reason teams pay for Seedance in the first place. Test the model on your own product shots before you commit a budget to it.

Is the Higgsfield API cheaper than a Higgsfield plan?

Only at low volume. In the web app, Seedance 2.5 costs 52 credits per 8 seconds at 720p, which works out to roughly 195 credits for a 30-second clip if the rate scales linearly. On the Plus plan at $59 a month for 1,200 credits, that is about $9.59 a clip, or $7.64 on annual Plus. Ultra annual brings it to about $6.44. The API charges $13.87 at list for the same clip.

So the break-even is simple. Below about four Seedance 2.5 ads a month the API is cheaper, because you pay nothing for the months you do not use. Above that, a fully used plan wins, and at the best API discount the two come out about even at six ads a month on monthly Plus. Higgsfield serves different plan sets to different visitors (we saw Plus at $59 for 1,200 credits and at $49 for 1,000), so check the one you are shown.

The plan does not give you automation, though. Plan credits cannot be spent through the API, and the unlimited models plans are marketed on are web app only. If you need generation from code, you need the API balance regardless of the plan, and the real choice is how much of your volume to move to it.

Does a Higgsfield subscription include API access?

No. Higgsfield's API terms say a consumer, Team or Scale subscription does not include API access, and plans marketed as unlimited do not fund the API. The API runs from its own prepaid balance on its own dashboard. Higgsfield's MCP connector and ChatGPT plugin are the exception in the other direction: they spend your plan credits, not the API balance, which is why they suit occasional use by a person rather than a production pipeline.

The launch discount and cashback, read carefully

The pricing page offers three things to new API accounts. Sale models carry 15 percent off at sign-up. You can pick any three models for discounts of up to 75 percent. And verifying a business email and adding a card adds $15 to your balance. No end date is published. The terms add two qualifiers: promotional balance may be restricted to designated models, and discounts may not apply to partner models.

Since the end of September there is also a cashback scheme based on API spend over 30 days and paid out over the next 30. The default levels in the dashboard code run from 5 percent at $5,000 a month to 20 percent at $50,000, and they may vary by account. Generations paid from cashback are charged at list price with no model discount, which shrinks the real value of the cashback. How an account reaches the maximum discount column beyond the three-model pick is not shown publicly, so ask your account contact for it in writing before you model a quarter on discounted rates.

What the Higgsfield API does not include

This is the line most guides skip. The API catalog has no Veo 3 or 3.1, no Sora 2, no Nano Banana, no DoP camera motion, no Soul Cinema, no Lipsync Studio and no talking avatar or UGC presenter video. The pricing FAQ mentions Veo, and the launch post says more than 50 models, but the live catalog lists 31 models and 6 workflows and none of those products is among them.

For an ad team that matters more than any rate. You can generate product B-roll, scenes and stylized clips by API, but you cannot generate a person talking to camera with a script, which is the format most UGC ads run on. If that is your format, look at the vendors whose APIs do sell presenter video: our HeyGen API pricing guide and the wider AI UGC video generator API pricing comparison price them side by side.

Failed jobs, refunds and balance expiry

Higgsfield does not charge for requests that end as failed or flagged NSFW; the reserved amount goes back to your balance. Server errors, rejected requests and time spent queued are not charged either, and you can cancel a queued request before it starts. You are charged for a generation that completes but that you do not like, which is where the keeper rate above comes from.

Your balance expires one year after purchase and cannot go negative, so a request with no funds is rejected rather than billed later. Unused balance is refundable only within 7 days of purchase, only if none of that purchase has been used, and less a service fee of up to 6 percent. Auto top-up is available and defaults to adding $20 when the balance falls to $10, so set your own threshold before you leave a batch running overnight.

Concurrency, keys and SDKs

You authenticate with a key ID and secret in an Authorization header, server side only. There are official clients for Python and JavaScript. Jobs are asynchronous: each request returns a status URL and a cancel URL, you can pass a webhook that retries for up to two hours, and idempotency keys are supported. An estimate endpoint quotes a job before you run it, but it needs credentials.

Concurrency is tied to what you spend. A new account runs 2 jobs at once, 10 after adding $25, 20 at $100 and 40 at $1,000, and only funds added in the past 28 days count. The launch post and FAQ still say a first key comes with 20, which the pricing page no longer supports. Going over the limit returns an HTTP 400 with no retry header, so build your own queue. The webhook receiver and the polling worker need to run somewhere with a public URL; if your team has no server for that yet, a tool that provisions a server and deploys the worker with zero downtime is quicker than setting one up by hand. Outputs are kept for at least 7 days, so copy them to your own storage as soon as a job completes.

Terms agencies should read before they build

The API terms, updated 2 September 2026, are good on ownership: Higgsfield does not claim your outputs and does not restrict commercial use, and the launch post names ads and client work explicitly. Four clauses deserve a second read.

Resale is restricted. You may not resell access or run the API as a service bureau or outsourcing service without written consent, and your end users must be bound by terms that pass Higgsfield's rules down. An agency generating ads for its own clients is the normal case, but a platform that lets clients press the button should get consent in writing.

Training is on by default. Higgsfield may train on your inputs and outputs unless you opt out in workspace settings, which takes up to 10 business days and is not retroactive. Opt out on day one if your clients' product shots are confidential.

Real people need documented consent for their face, voice or likeness, and you may not remove watermarks or provenance signals. Disputes go to arbitration under California law with a class action waiver.

Where the circulating Higgsfield API figures are wrong

Several ranking guides were written in mid September and have aged fast. The claim that a new key unlocks 20 concurrent jobs is superseded by the funding tiers. A "50 percent off two video and one image model" launch deal is now any three models at up to 75 percent. The DoP per-generation price some guides list is no longer in the catalog. Seedance 2.5 is now priced at 1080p, not only 480p and 720p. And the starting rates in Higgsfield's own launch post do not match its live catalog, so quote the catalog, not the blog.

When the Higgsfield API is the right buy

It is the right buy if you need generated B-roll, product scenes or stylized clips from code, at variable volume, with a per-second price you can calculate before you run a job. It is the wrong buy if your ads are a person talking to camera, because the API does not sell that product, or if you make more than a handful of Seedance clips a month and never need automation, because a used plan is cheaper. If you are still choosing between Higgsfield and other tools, our Higgsfield alternative page compares them for ad work.

Where AdsGen fits instead

AdsGen is not a clip API and does not compete on per-second rates. You paste a product URL and it writes a batch of up to 20 UGC ad scripts across six angles, each with its own hook, then renders the ones you pick as 720p vertical presenter videos with burned-in captions. Plans carry a set number of script batches and renders a month, from $99 a month or $49 billed yearly, and our API is on the Enterprise plan with 12 renders a month, so it suits teams that need the scripts and angles generated by code, not hundreds of rendered clips. If you need volume rendering, use Higgsfield, HeyGen or Creatify for that and test the scripts first. You can try the script engine on your own product URL in the demo at the top of this page.

Higgsfield API pricing FAQ

How much does the Higgsfield API cost?

There is no plan fee. You top up a prepaid balance from $5 and pay per generation by model, from about $0.05 a second for Wan 3.0 at 480p to $1.14 a second for Seedance 2.5 at 1080p at list. A 30-second Seedance 2.5 ad at 720p costs $13.87 at list, before retries.

Is the Higgsfield API free?

No. New accounts that verify a business email and add a card receive $15 of balance, and the launch offer discounts up to three chosen models, but every generation is paid from a balance you fund. Failed and NSFW-flagged jobs are not charged.

Do Higgsfield plan credits work on the API?

No. The API terms say a consumer, Team or Scale subscription does not include API access and unlimited plans do not fund it. The API uses its own US dollar balance. Higgsfield's MCP connector spends plan credits instead, but it is built for interactive use, not a production pipeline.

Does the Higgsfield API have Veo 3 or Sora 2?

Not on 8 October 2026. The public API catalog lists 31 models and 6 workflows, including Seedance, Kling, Wan, Hailuo and Cinema Studio, but no Veo, no Sora 2, no lip sync and no talking avatar video, even though the pricing FAQ mentions Veo.

How many requests can the Higgsfield API run at once?

Two at first, 10 after adding $25 in the past 28 days, 20 after $100 and 40 after $1,000. Requests over the limit return HTTP 400 with no retry header, so queue jobs on your side.

Can I use Higgsfield API videos in client ads?

Yes, with conditions. Higgsfield claims no ownership of outputs and does not restrict commercial use, but reselling API access or running it as a service for others needs written consent, real people need documented consent, and training on your content is on until you opt out.

Let AdsGen make the ads instead

Paste a product URL and get a batch of UGC ad scripts with hooks for every angle, then render the ones you pick as creator-style videos with captions and native vertical sizing, ready to upload.

Test the idea on paper before you render the video.

Paste your product URL and AdsGen writes the hooks and scripts across every angle, then casts a realistic creator and renders the ones you pick as UGC video ads for every feed.

Plans from $49 a month. No creator invoices.
