JoinBrands Pricing 2026 and Real Cost Per UGC Video
JoinBrands charges $0, $99, $299 or $499 a month with a platform fee of 15% down to 8% on top of every creator payout. Ten 30-second UGC videos at the default campaign price cost about $759 on the free tier and $935 on Pro, and Pro is never the cheapest plan at any volume.

JoinBrands has four brand plans: Pay-as-you-go at $0 with a 15% platform fee, Start-up at $99 a month with 12%, Pro at $299 with 10% and Max at $499 with 8%. Creator payouts are paid on top, and the fee is charged on top of every payout. Ten 30-second UGC videos at the default campaign price cost about $759 on the free tier and $935 on Pro, so Pro is never the cheapest plan on cost alone: Free wins below about $2,300 a month of creator spend, Start-up from there to $7,000, and Max above that.
We read the JoinBrands pricing page in a real browser, including the annual toggle and the plan data in its scripts, its help centre articles on job pricing and refunds (updated between 22 September and 1 October 2026), its terms, Wayback Machine copies of the pricing page from March and June 2026, and its Trustpilot profile, all on 6 October 2026. This guide is for a brand or agency about to pick a plan and fund a wallet. It covers what one video really costs, which plan pays at your volume, where the pricing page and the campaign builder disagree, and the clauses to read before you pay.
JoinBrands pricing plans at a glance
| Plan | Monthly | Annual, per month | Platform fee | Roll Over Cash |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pay-as-you-go | $0 | $0 | 15% | None |
| Start-up | $99 | $89 | 12% | $30 ($27 annual) |
| Pro | $299 | $269 | 10% | $90 ($80 annual) |
| Max | $499 | $449 | 8% | $150 ($135 annual) |
Every plan, the free one included, gets unlimited campaigns, creators and invites, TikTok Spark Ads and Instagram Partnership Ads codes, the Shopify integration and what JoinBrands calls full content rights. Paid plans add team users (1, 3 and 10), more revisions per job (2, 3 and 10 against 1 on Free), 4K video, extended deadlines, TikTok analytics, Slack support and the TikTok Shop outreach agents for recruiting affiliates. Only Max adds custom watermarks, white-label links and a custom domain. No plan includes a dedicated account manager.
Roll Over Cash is a monthly credit spent before your cash wallet. It is real money toward jobs, but you lose it if you cancel or drop to the free tier. Prices, fees and credits have not changed since at least March 2026; between March and June the plans were renamed (Brand became Pro, Agency became Max) and "JB Coins" became Roll Over Cash, so any guide still using the old names is out of date.
How much does JoinBrands cost per video?
The plan is the smallest part of the bill. A job has three layers: the creator payout you set, the platform fee charged on top of it, and the subscription. Card payments add a 3.5% processing fee on whatever is charged to the card; topping up the wallet by wire or ACH avoids it.
Here is a realistic month: ten 30-second UGC videos from Level 1 US creators. The campaign builder's default for a UGC video is $60 and a 30-second length adds 10%, so each payout is $66 and the month is $660 to creators. We assume the Roll Over Cash covers part of the job cost, because the promo wallet is always spent first. Paying the jobs by card instead adds 3.5%, which takes the month to $785.57 on the free tier, $833.02 on Start-up, $957.26 on Pro and $1,081.50 on Max.
| Plan | Fee on $660 | Subscription | Month by ACH | Per video |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pay-as-you-go | $99.00 | $0 | $759.00 | $75.90 |
| Start-up | $79.20 | $99 less $30 | $808.20 | $80.82 |
| Pro | $66.00 | $299 less $90 | $935.00 | $93.50 |
| Max | $52.80 | $499 less $150 | $1,061.80 | $106.18 |
Those are list prices for creators at the bottom level. Level 2 creators cost 50% more on a basic UGC video and Level 3 creators 100% more, or 150% more on advanced formats such as green screen and B-roll. Level 2 and 3 creators can also counter-offer up to five times your posted payout. A 60-second video adds 20% to the base and anything three minutes or longer adds 50%. So a brand that hires experienced creators for 30-second ads should budget $100 to $150 a video before fees, not $66.
Then allow for the videos you do not run. Some creators miss the brief, some hooks fall flat. If two in three are usable, the real cost of a usable Level 1 ad on the free tier is closer to $115.
Which JoinBrands plan is cheapest for your volume?
Because the fee falls as the subscription rises, each plan has a break-even point. On monthly billing, with P as your monthly creator spend, the free tier costs 1.15 times P. Start-up costs 1.12 times P plus $69 net of its credit, so it beats Free once you spend more than about $2,300 a month on creators. Start-up, Pro and Max all cost the same, $7,909, at exactly $7,000 of creator spend, and above that Max is cheapest.
| Monthly creator spend | Cheapest plan on cost |
|---|---|
| Under about $2,300 | Pay-as-you-go |
| About $2,300 to $7,000 | Start-up |
| Above $7,000 | Max |
Pro, the plan with the "most popular" badge, is never the cheapest at any volume. You buy it for three team users, three revisions per job and the features rather than for the fee. If a single marketer runs your campaigns and spends under $2,300 a month, the free tier is the honest answer; paying $299 to save five points of fee only pays back at volumes where Max is already cheaper.
The $25 on the pricing page and the $50 floor in the campaign builder
The pricing page says UGC videos start at $25 and images at $10. The campaign builder, as documented in the JoinBrands help centre, sets a $50 minimum on every video job type in the US: UGC videos default to $60, TikTok, Instagram, Shorts and Amazon social videos to $100, full-length YouTube to $150, and images start at $15 to $25 depending on the shot.
The low figures come from Social Blast, a bulk posting product where a pack of 100 TikTok posts works out at $25 each (37.5% off the 10-post rate of $40), and blast campaigns are advertised from $9 a post. That is a real product, but it buys creators posting your content to their own audience, not custom ad footage. If you are budgeting for UGC ads to run from your own account, start from $50 to $66 a video, not $25. If what you actually want is creators posting to their followers, a micro-influencer marketing platform built for vetting and booking those creators may suit you better than a UGC marketplace.
Is the JoinBrands annual discount worth it?
The "Annual 10% off" badge is accurate on the totals: $1,069 against $1,188 for Start-up, $3,229 against $3,588 for Pro and $5,389 against $5,988 for Max. But annual billing also trims the monthly Roll Over Cash, from $30 to $27, $90 to $80 and $150 to $135. Net of the smaller credit, a year on annual saves $83 on Start-up, $239 on Pro and $419 on Max.
Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated, so annual makes sense only if you are certain you will run campaigns every month for a year. For most brands testing the platform, monthly billing on the free tier or Start-up is the safer first step.
JoinBrands AI videos at $5 each
Since mid-2026 the pricing page has listed AI videos at $5 per video, deducted from the wallet, with each rerun charged another $5. It is the cheapest line on the page, and JoinBrands publishes little about what the AI videos look like, how long they run or what presenters they use. If AI video ads are what you want, compare it with tools built for that job; our MakeUGC alternative page lays out the AI UGC tools by cost per ad.
Usage rights, refunds and the clauses to read first
The rights are good. On full payment, the JoinBrands terms say all rights in the creator's content transfer to you, and the creator grants an irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use it for any purpose; the pricing page adds no expiry and no per-channel licensing. One clause pulls the other way, saying you may not use the content for purposes other than those in your request, so write paid ads, every platform you plan to use and client delivery into the brief. The creator terms also say content may be used by brands and by JoinBrands in AI tools, including for training.
Refunds are narrow. Subscriptions are final once activated, Blast campaigns are non-refundable once launched, extra content bought from creators is non-refundable, and product costs for jobs where you ship the product are not returned. A regular job is refundable only if you cancel it yourself after it goes late, and the money comes back as account credit in about ten days, not to your card. JoinBrands can change its fees at any time with written notice. Disputes go to Wyoming courts in Laramie County, and claims must be brought within one year.
Nothing in the terms sets an auto-renewal notice period, and monthly plans have no lock-in. Downgrades take effect at the next cycle; upgrades apply at once.
What JoinBrands reviews say
JoinBrands holds 4.4 on Trustpilot from 288 reviews, with 81.9% five-star and 6.6% one-star, and the company replies to nearly every negative review. That is one of the better profiles among UGC marketplaces. As with any two-sided marketplace, it pays to look at who is writing. In the 60 most recent reviews we read, 21 came from creators, 17 from brands and 22 were unclear; of the ten reviews at one to three stars, seven came from brands.
The brand complaints were refused refunds on Blast campaigns, charges the reviewer did not expect (one reported $3,600 charged against an $1,800 order), uneven creator quality and cost. They are consistent with the refund terms above, which is the practical lesson: fund the wallet for one campaign at a time until you trust the creators you have found.
JoinBrands compared with Insense and Billo on cost
JoinBrands is the cheapest way into a real-creator UGC marketplace: no subscription on the free tier and a $50 video floor. Insense charges a $650 paid first month and then $400 to $500 a month billed yearly or quarterly, with a 10% fee and creator rates from about $100, which our Insense review works out plan by plan. Billo sells prepaid packs from $500 at list prices of $139 for a 30-second video, covered in our Billo pricing guide. JoinBrands wins on entry cost and monthly flexibility; Insense wins on usage-rights wording for agencies and on its first-campaign applicant guarantee.
When to buy JoinBrands, and when AdsGen fits better
Buy JoinBrands if you need real people filming your physical product, posting to their own TikTok or Instagram, or selling it through TikTok Shop as affiliates. A generated presenter cannot taste, wear or apply your product, and it has no audience of its own.
Where AdsGen fits is the step before you pay creators. You paste a product URL, and AdsGen reads the page and writes UGC-style ad scripts across six angles, up to 20 variations in one batch, then renders vertical video ads with AI presenters and burned-in captions. Starter is $99 a month, or $49 billed yearly, and includes 1 rendered 720p video a month; Growth includes 2 and Scale 6. Output is 9:16 only, and the presenters are generated, so they must never be presented as customers. Many brands use it to find the hooks worth testing, then brief JoinBrands creators with the angles that already look strongest. Try it on your own product page with the studio at the top of this article, or see the plans.
JoinBrands pricing FAQ
How much does JoinBrands cost?
JoinBrands has a free pay-as-you-go tier with a 15% platform fee, Start-up at $99 a month with 12%, Pro at $299 with 10% and Max at $499 with 8%. Billed annually they are $89, $269 and $449 a month. Creator payouts are extra and start at $50 for a video job in the campaign builder.
Is JoinBrands free for brands?
The pay-as-you-go tier has no subscription, but it is not free to use: every creator payout carries a 15% platform fee, and card payments add 3.5%. For brands spending under about $2,300 a month on creators, it is still the cheapest JoinBrands plan.
How much do JoinBrands creators charge per video?
The campaign builder defaults to $60 for a UGC video and $100 for a TikTok or Instagram post, with a $50 minimum on video jobs. Level 2 creators cost 50% more and Level 3 creators 100% to 150% more, and longer videos add 10% to 50%. The $25 on the pricing page applies to bulk Social Blast packs.
Does JoinBrands charge fees on top of creator payments?
Yes. The platform fee, 8% to 15% depending on plan, is added on top of what the creator earns, and a 3.5% card processing fee applies to card charges. Paying the wallet by wire or ACH avoids the card fee.
Can I get a refund from JoinBrands?
Subscriptions, Blast campaigns and extra content are non-refundable. A regular job can be refunded only if you cancel it after it goes late, and the refund arrives as account credit in about ten days. Plan for the money in your wallet to stay on the platform.
Do I own the content I buy on JoinBrands?
The terms transfer all rights to the content to you once the job is fully paid, with an irrevocable licence to use it for any purpose, and the pricing page promises no expiry or per-channel limits. Name paid ads and client use in your brief anyway, because another clause ties use to the purposes in your request.
What is the difference between JoinBrands Pro and Max?
Max costs $499 against $299, cuts the fee from 10% to 8%, raises the monthly credit from $90 to $150, allows 10 team users instead of 3 and 10 revisions instead of 3, and adds custom watermarks, white-label links and a custom domain. On cost alone, Pro and Max cost the same at $7,000 a month of creator spend; below that Pro is cheaper than Max, and above it Max is the cheapest plan of all.
