Creatify AI review: Creatify reviews, pricing and is it worth it for ad teams

The short answer

Creatify is an AI ad video tool that reads a product URL, writes scripts and renders them with AI avatars, templates and voiceover. In September 2026 it sells Starter at $39 a month for 100 credits ($19 billed annually) and Pro on a slider from 300 credits at $99 to 5,000 credits at $999 ($49 to $799 billed annually), plus a watermarked Free plan with 10 credits. Video ads cost 5 credits per 15 seconds, so a 30-second ad is 10 credits: $3.90 on monthly Starter, $3.30 on the Pro entry rung and $2.00 at the top rung. The API charges the same 30 seconds at 5 credits, which works out near $1. It holds 3.9 on Trustpilot from 832 reviews (77 percent five-star, 17 percent one-star). Payments are non-refundable. It is worth it for teams testing many short avatar ads; it is a poor fit if you need to know the cost of an agent-built ad before you make it.

Most people searching for a Creatify review have already seen the pitch: paste a product link, pick an avatar, get a video ad in a few minutes. The pitch is broadly true. What a buyer needs to know is which plan to pick, what a finished ad really costs once length and retries count, what happens with billing, and whether the rights hold up for client work.

This page answers those questions with numbers read off the Creatify pricing page and its structured data, its help centre, its API billing docs, its terms of service and Trustpilot on 26 September 2026. The Pro slider rungs were read on 17 September and the entry price and range re-confirmed today.

One note on what we are: AdsGen also turns a product URL into UGC-style video ads, so Creatify is our closest competitor and we have an interest here. Every claim below is checkable, and the section on where Creatify wins is written to be used.

Our verdict

3.6/5

Worth it for short avatar ads in volume, on Pro or through the API. Budget by the second, not by the ad.

Creatify turns a product link into avatar video ads faster than almost anything we have tested, with a large actor library and an ad launcher for Meta and TikTok. The meter charges 5 credits for every 15 seconds, so a 30-second ad costs $1.60 to $3.90 depending on plan and billing, and its agent tools draw a variable amount nobody can quote in advance. Payments are final. The rights clauses and price-change notice are among the better ones in the category.

How Creatify scores, category by category

Speed from product link to ad

4.3

The core flow works: a product URL becomes scripts, an avatar and a rendered ad in minutes, with up to five renders in parallel on Pro.

Avatars and templates

4.2

300 AI actors on Starter and 1,500 plus 3 custom avatars on Pro, with 200 to 500 templates. The polished presenter look is the house style.

Value for money

3.5

A 30-second ad runs $1.60 to $3.90 in the app and about $1 through the API. Annual Pro barely rewards volume: the 1,000-credit rung costs more per credit than the 300.

Pricing clarity

3.0

Pro prices only appear when you move a slider, the "save up to 50%" banner holds on three rungs of six, and the agent tools cannot be priced upfront.

Billing and refunds

2.4

Payments are final. Annual plans are billed up front, and several September Trustpilot reviews describe an unexpected annual charge they could not reverse.

Rights for client work

4.2

You own what you create, Creatify assigns you its copyright in it, and you keep your creatives after the plan ends. Price changes need 30 days' notice.

The numbers

Every figure below comes off Creatify's own pages on 26 September 2026. Where we do arithmetic on their numbers, the working is shown.

Creatify plans and what a 30-second ad costs, monthly billing

Plan Monthly Credits Per credit 30s ad 30s ads a month
Free $0 10 n/a Watermarked 0 (two 15s ads)
Starter $39 100 39.0 cents $3.90 10
Pro 300 $99 300 33.0 cents $3.30 30

Plans from creatify.ai/pricing (Pro rungs read on 17 September 2026, entry prices and range re-confirmed 26 September). A 30-second video ad is 10 credits at the published 5 credits per 15 seconds. Cost per credit and per ad is our arithmetic.

Annual billing: the discount shrinks as you climb

Plan Annual per month Billed per year Real discount Per credit 30s ad
Starter $19 $228 51.3% 19.0 cents $1.90
Pro 300 $49 $588 50.5% 16.3 cents $1.63
Pro 600 $99 $1,188 50.3% 16.5 cents $1.65
Pro 1,000 $179 $2,148 40.1% 17.9 cents $1.79
Pro 2,000 $349 $4,188 30.1% 17.5 cents $1.75
Pro 5,000 $799 $9,588 20.0% 16.0 cents $1.60

Annual prices per month from the pricing page slider (17 September 2026). Billed up front as twelve times the monthly figure. Discount and cost per credit are our arithmetic.

The API prices the same ad at a third of the app

API plan Monthly Credits Per credit 30s URL to video (5 cr) With link read (6 cr)
API Starter $99 500 19.8 cents $0.99 $1.19
API Pro $299 2,000 14.95 cents $0.75 $0.90
Ad Clone via API 12 cr per 5s 72 cr for 30s n/a $14.26 on API Starter $10.76 on API Pro

From docs.creatify.ai/billing, read on 26 September 2026. Cost per ad is our arithmetic; the link read adds 1 credit per URL.

What each one costs

Creatify plans were read on 26 September 2026: a Free plan with 10 credits and a watermark, Starter at $39 a month for 100 credits or $19 a month billed annually, and Pro on a slider from 300 credits at $99 a month to 5,000 credits at $999, or $49 to $799 a month billed annually. Pro includes 2 seats of a possible 5. Enterprise is quoted by sales. The API is priced separately at $99 for 500 credits and $299 for 2,000. AdsGen plans start at $82 a month and are counted in finished ads rather than credits.

In depth

The Creatify review in full

Is Creatify worth it? For short avatar ads in volume, yes

Creatify is worth paying for if your testing plan is many short avatar ads against a handful of products. The URL to video flow is quick, Pro renders five at a time, the actor library is large, and the ad launcher pushes finished ads into Meta, TikTok and AppLovin without a download step. For a DTC team running fifteen-second hook tests, the meter is kind: 5 credits an ad, which is $1.65 on the monthly Pro entry rung.

It gets less attractive as ads get longer and as you lean on the clever tools. Length is charged in 15-second steps, rounded up, so a 31-second ad costs the same as a 45-second one. The Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone tools draw what Creatify calls a variable number of credits that cannot be determined upfront. Those are the tools the marketing leads with.

So buy Creatify for volume of short, templated avatar ads, and price your plan off the plain URL to video rate. Treat anything the agent builds as a cost you will learn after the fact.

What a Creatify ad really costs once length and retries count

The help centre states the meter: video ads, avatar videos and AI shorts cost 5 credits per 15 seconds of video, rounded up, and revisions cost 3 credits per 15 seconds. On Pro, revisions are free if you keep the same script, avatar and voice, which in practice means fixing a caption or a cut rather than trying a new angle.

A 30-second ad is therefore 10 credits. That is $3.90 on Starter billed monthly, $3.30 on the Pro entry rung and $2.00 at the 5,000-credit rung. Billed annually it falls to $1.60 to $1.90.

The number that decides your budget is not the price per render. It is the price per ad you would actually run. Nobody keeps every first render: a wrong avatar, an awkward read, a hook that lands flat. If one render in three is a keeper, the Pro 300 plan at $99 is ten usable 30-second ads a month, not thirty. Size the plan against that figure, and read our full Creatify pricing breakdown for every rung and billing line.

Annual Pro barely rewards buying more

The banner above the plans says "save up to 50% on annual plan". Divide each rung and the saving is 51.3 percent on Starter, around 50 percent on Pro 300 and Pro 600, then 40.1, 30.1 and 20.0 percent as you climb. The buyers most likely to sign a year, the ones sizing a large plan, get the smallest discount.

The side effect is odder than the banner. On annual billing, Pro 300 costs 16.3 cents a credit and Pro 1,000 costs 17.9 cents, so the bigger plan is dearer per credit. Pro 2,000 is 17.5 cents and only the 5,000 rung, at 16.0 cents, beats the entry rung, and by a third of a cent. On annual billing the Pro slider sells capacity, not a volume discount.

The practical rule: if you commit a year, buy the smallest rung that covers your real testing volume, and top up rather than size up. Check the checkout total too. The page shows annual prices per month, and the charge is twelve times that figure up front: $588 for the Pro entry rung.

The API makes the same ad cost about a dollar

Creatify runs a separate API with its own plans: API Starter at $99 a month for 500 credits and API Pro at $299 for 2,000. Its billing docs charge URL to video at 5 credits per 30 seconds, half the app rate for the same length, plus 1 credit to read the link.

That puts a 30-second ad at $0.99 to $1.19 on API Starter and $0.75 to $0.90 on API Pro, a third of what the same ad costs in the app on a $99 plan. For a team with a developer, or a platform generating ads for its own merchants, the API is the cheapest way to buy Creatify by some distance.

The catch is that the API is a pipe, not a studio. There is no timeline editor or ad launcher on the other end, and some endpoints are dear: Ad Clone is 12 credits per 5 seconds, so a 30-second clone is 72 credits, around $14 on API Starter. Read the endpoint table before you assume every job is a dollar.

Refunds and billing: payments are final

Creatify's terms say payments are non-refundable except where required by law, and that cancelling or losing access for a terms breach brings no refund or credit. Its refund policy page is shorter still: payments are final. Plans renew automatically on the billing cycle you chose.

The good part is cancelling. You can cancel at any time on the website or by emailing support, there is no notice deadline, and your plan and credits run to the end of the period you paid for. The cancellation flow offers a free month first; click past it to finish.

The part that produces the angry reviews is annual billing. The pricing page leads with per-month figures and the charge is a year up front. Several Trustpilot reviews from September 2026 describe expecting a monthly plan and seeing a charge over $500, then being refused a refund under the policy. If you want monthly, check the toggle before you pay, because once billed it is final.

What 832 Trustpilot reviews say

Creatify holds 3.9 on Trustpilot from 832 reviews: 77 percent five-star, 5 percent four-star, under 1 percent each for three and two, and 17 percent one-star. That is a better shape than most tools we have reviewed. InVideo runs about 29 to 32 percent one-star across its two profiles and Arcads has more one-star reviews than five-star.

The praise is about speed and ease: people who could not edit video producing usable ads in minutes. The complaints cluster in two places. The first is billing, the annual charges and refused refunds covered above. The second is output that misses, with September reviews describing presenter footage unrelated to the script and scenes that do not make sense. That is the retry cost again, and it is why the per-render price flatters the tool.

Creatify's own pricing page markup declares a 4.8 rating from 1,738 ratings without naming where it comes from. Rely on the review sites you can read.

What you own, and what agencies should check

The rights clauses are good for advertisers. The terms say you own the original content in the assets you create, and Creatify assigns to you whatever copyright it holds in them. The pricing FAQ adds that you keep your creatives after the plan ends, which is better than MakeUGC, whose terms in one place tie your rights to an active subscription, and than Arcads, whose licence is non-transferable.

Creatify does take a perpetual, sublicensable licence to the prompts and images you put in, but only as needed to run the service or comply with law. That is narrower than the training licences we found at Captions and Hedra. One restriction runs the other way: you may not use the assets to train AI models.

Price changes are also handled decently: for subscribers they take effect at the next renewal or 30 days after notice, whichever is later. For an agency, the remaining questions are commercial. White-label support and a formal IP assignment in an SLA sit on Enterprise, so if a client contract needs either in writing, that is the tier to price. Disputes go to the courts in San Francisco under California law.

Where Creatify beats us outright, and you should buy it instead

If you want polished avatar presenters from a library of 1,500, with templates for every format, buy Creatify. That is its house style and it does it well.

If you need square or landscape ads alongside vertical, Creatify renders them and we render 9:16 only.

If you want your own face or a spokesperson as a custom avatar, Pro includes three and we do not clone real people.

If you want to publish straight into Meta, TikTok or AppLovin from the tool, the ad launcher does that, and with us you upload the files yourself.

If you have a developer and need ads at scale, the Creatify API at about a dollar a 30-second ad is cheaper per ad than any plan we sell.

Where the comparison turns is style and predictability. Creatify's look is a presenter reading a script; ours is a creator talking into a phone. Which one converts depends on your account, so test both. And if the ads you most want are the ones Creatify builds with its agent tools, you cannot know their price until you have made them. For the head-to-head with the other tool buyers shortlist, see Creatify vs Higgsfield.

What AdsGen does instead, including what it will not do

You paste a product URL. We read the page for the product, its claims and its images, write UGC-style scripts with several different hooks and angles, and return finished vertical video ads with AI presenters and burned-in captions, ready to upload to TikTok, Meta or Shorts. There is no credit meter, no 15-second step and no variable-cost agent.

The limits, stated before you sign up. Output is 9:16 only, with captions burned in, so it suits paid social and does not suit a landscape pre-roll. It works from a product URL, so a thin or image-only product page gives the model less to work with. The presenters are generated, so they are not customers and must never be presented as testimonials. We do not clone your face, we have no public API, and we do not push ads into your ad accounts.

You can see the output on your own product before paying. The demo above runs the real engine on a URL you paste.

Why teams pick AdsGen

The full UGC video ad, end to end

A plan counted in ads, not seconds

Creatify charges 5 credits for every 15 seconds and an unquoted amount for agent-built ads. AdsGen plans are counted in finished ads, so you know the price of the twelfth variation before you make it.

Several angles per product in one batch

AdsGen reads your product page and writes different hooks and angles together, because the first idea is rarely the winner and paid social is a search for the one that works.

A creator on a phone, not a presenter

Native 9:16 with burned-in captions and a creator who reads as a person filming on a phone, the look that blends into Reels, TikTok and Shorts rather than reading as a template.

Good questions

Creatify, answered

For short avatar ads in volume, yes. A 15-second ad is 5 credits, $1.65 on the monthly Pro entry rung, and Pro renders five at a time. It is less attractive for longer ads, for agent-built ads whose credit cost is not quoted upfront, and for buyers who need a refund option, because payments are final.
Yes. Creatify is a US company based in Mountain View, California, that publishes its prices, credit rates and terms. It holds 3.9 on Trustpilot from 832 reviews, 77 percent of them five-star. The 17 percent one-star share is mostly about annual billing and refused refunds rather than a product that does not work.
Read in September 2026: Starter is $39 a month for 100 credits or $19 billed annually, and Pro runs from $99 a month for 300 credits to $999 for 5,000, or $49 to $799 a month billed annually. The Free plan gives 10 credits a month with a watermark. Enterprise is quoted by sales.
Video ads, avatar videos and AI shorts cost 5 credits per 15 seconds, rounded up, so a 30-second ad is 10 credits and a 60-second ad is 20. Revisions cost 3 credits per 15 seconds, free on Pro if the script, avatar and voice stay the same. Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone use a variable amount.
No, as a rule. The terms say payments are non-refundable except where required by law, and the refund policy page says payments are final. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps your plan and credits until the period ends, but nothing already billed comes back, including an annual plan charged by mistake.
Cancel in your account on the website or email Creatify support. There is no notice deadline. You keep your plan and remaining credits until the end of the period you paid for. The cancellation flow offers a free month before it lets you finish, so click past the offer if you want to leave.
Briefly. The pricing FAQ says unused credits are valid for 2 months, so they carry into the next month and then expire. Annual Pro credits expire yearly. Free credits cannot move to a paid plan, and you cannot switch away from an annual plan until fewer than 10 credits remain.
Yes on paid plans, which remove the watermark. The terms say you own the original content in the assets you create and Creatify assigns you its copyright in them, and the pricing FAQ says you keep your creatives after the plan ends. Use stays subject to Creatify's moderation policy.
Yes, by about two thirds. The API charges URL to video at 5 credits per 30 seconds, half the app rate, on plans of $99 for 500 credits and $299 for 2,000. A 30-second ad costs about $0.75 to $1.19 through the API against $3.30 in the app on the $99 Pro plan.
It depends on the look you want. For creator-style UGC from a product URL on a plan counted in finished ads, AdsGen fits. For avatar talking heads at low cost per ad, HeyGen is worth pricing. Our Creatify alternative page compares the options on verified prices and output style.
