InVideo AI review: InVideo reviews, pricing and is it worth it for ad teams
The short answer
InVideo AI is a prompt-to-video platform that writes a script, picks or generates footage, adds a voiceover and captions, and now runs a UGC ads agent that starts from a product link. In September 2026 it sells Starter at $20 a month for 400 credits, Plus at $60 for 2,000 and Max at $150 for 5,000, with Max 2x and 3x above that; annual billing takes 17 to 39 percent off every plan except Starter. Above Starter every monthly plan works out to exactly 3 cents a credit. Credits pay each model at its own API rate, so a 30-second clip on Seedance 2.0 Fast is about 180 credits, roughly $5.40 on monthly Plus, before voice and lip sync. It holds 3.0 on Trustpilot from 889 reviews for the AI product and 1.9 from 1,016 for the main site, and 4.55 on the US App Store. It is worth it for teams that make many kinds of video. As a per-ad budget line it is hard to forecast.
Most people searching for an InVideo AI review have already seen the demo: type a prompt, get a narrated video with footage, music and captions in a couple of minutes. What a buyer needs to know is which plan to pick, how far the credits go, what an ad actually costs, and what happens if it does not work out.
This page answers those questions with numbers read off the InVideo pricing page, its help centre, its terms of service, Trustpilot and the App Store on 22 September 2026. InVideo changed its whole plan lineup since the summer, so if a review quotes Plus at $17 or an Elite plan at $900, it is describing plans you can no longer buy.
One note on what we are: AdsGen turns a product URL into UGC-style video ads. InVideo now has a UGC ads mode that does part of the same job, so we have an interest here. Every claim below is checkable, and the section on where InVideo wins is written to be used.

Our verdict
3.2/5
Worth it on annual Max if you make many kinds of video. Hard to budget as an ad factory.
InVideo AI is a genuinely fast prompt-to-video agent, and its new UGC ads mode starts from a product link. On annual Max it is among the cheapest credits we have priced. But above Starter every monthly plan costs the same 3 cents a credit, three different price lists are in circulation, credit costs can change without notice, and the refund right ends the moment you generate anything.

How InVideo scores, category by category
Speed from prompt to video
4.3The reason 27,690 App Store users rate it 4.55. A prompt becomes a narrated, captioned draft with footage and music in minutes.
UGC ads from a product link
3.4The UGC ads agent reads a product or app link, casts a creator from your description, shows each shot as a still for approval, then animates it with voice and lip sync.
Value for money
3.3Annual Max buys credits at 2.01 cents, among the cheapest we have priced. Monthly Plus to Max 3x is a flat 3.0 cents, and Team and Scale seats cost more per credit than Plus.
Pricing clarity
2.1The pricing page, the help centre and the App Store show three different price lists, the credit unit was rescaled, and InVideo may change credit costs without notice.
Billing and refunds
2.3Fees are non-refundable except within 7 days, and only if you have used no credits or premium features. Unused credits expire every month.
Rights for client work
4.0You own your outputs and get a perpetual commercial licence that survives cancellation, and the terms say InVideo will not train its models on your data.

In depth
The InVideo review in full
Is InVideo AI worth it? For range yes, as an ad factory it depends on the model
InVideo AI is worth paying for if your team makes many different kinds of video. One subscription covers explainers, faceless YouTube, product B-roll, images and music, on a long shelf of models from Seedance to Kling, plus stock from iStock. For a marketing team that would otherwise hold three or four tools, annual Max at $100.50 a month for 5,000 credits is fair value, and at 2.01 cents a credit it is among the cheapest credits we have priced.
For ads the answer depends on what each ad costs, and InVideo cannot tell you in advance. Credits pay each model at its own API rate, so 30 seconds on Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p is about 180 credits and the same 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5 at 1080p is about 300, before voice, lip sync and the agent's own work. On monthly Plus that is roughly $5.40 to $9.00 a clip. Compare that with HeyGen at well under a dollar for a talking ad and InVideo is not the cheap way to make many variations.
So buy InVideo for breadth. Do not buy it expecting to know your cost per ad before the month starts.
Above Starter, every monthly plan is 3 cents a credit
Divide each monthly price by its credits: Plus is $60 for 2,000, Max $150 for 5,000, Max 2x $300 for 10,000 and Max 3x $450 for 15,000. Every one of them is exactly 3.0 cents. Only Starter differs, at 5.0 cents for 400 credits, and it is also limited to the Lite agent and the cheaper Seedance models.
The discount lives in annual billing, and it grows as you climb: nothing on Starter, 17 percent on Plus, 33 percent on Max and Max 2x, and 39 percent on Max 3x. That takes the unit price from 3.0 cents to 2.49, 2.01 and 1.83. If you can commit a year, Max is where the pricing starts to reward you. If you cannot, the bigger plans only buy more credits at the same price.
The business tier runs the other way, the same pattern we found at Higgsfield and HeyGen. Team is $79 a seat for 1,600 credits, 4.94 cents a credit, and Scale is $215 for 4,000, 5.38 cents. Both cost more per credit than individual Plus. What they add is governance: seat management, and the only plans where the pricing page lists "No training on your data".
Three price lists, and the one you pay is on the pricing page
If you read an older InVideo review you will see Plus at $17, Max at $85, Generative at $170 and Elite at $900. Those plans are gone. The September 2026 pricing page sells Starter, Plus, Max, Max 2x and Max 3x, and the credit unit itself was rescaled, so a credit count from before is not comparable with one from now.
Two official sources have not caught up. InVideo's own help centre billing pages still describe a Basic plan at $9, Pro at $30 and Ultra at $80, and the in-app purchase list on the iOS App Store still shows Plus at $30 and Max at $72. The pricing page on the web is what you are charged if you subscribe there. If you subscribe in the app, check the price at checkout.
The pricing page itself shows the Max annual price three ways: $100 on the card, $101 in the compare table, and a "Save $579" badge, when 33 percent off $1,800 is a saving of $594. None of these is large. Together they are why "check the checkout, not the card" is the rule for this vendor. Our full InVideo pricing breakdown has every plan line.
What the UGC ads agent does with your product link
InVideo's UGC ads mode starts where we do. You paste a product or app link and the agent pulls the product details, imagery and app screens. It then casts a creator from a description you write rather than a fixed avatar library, shows each shot as a still image for approval, and animates the approved shots with voice and lip sync. You can also clone yourself: an express clone takes a few minutes of setup, and the plans include 4 to 20 of them per seat.
The approval step is the good idea here, because a rejected still costs far less than a rejected video. The weakness is the meter. Every stage, from the agent reasoning to the images to the animation, draws on the same credit balance at different rates, and InVideo publishes no price for a finished ad on its current credit scale. Render two ads at the length you will really run, check the balance, and budget from that number rather than from the card.
Output ratios run from 9:16 to 16:9 and wider, which is more than we offer. Whatever you make, an AI presenter is not a customer, so never caption one as a testimonial.
Refunds and cancellation: the refund ends when you press generate
The terms, effective 8 July 2026, say all fees are non-refundable for the period purchased. The one exception is a request within seven days of a purchase or renewal, and only if you have not used any credits or premium features in that time. There are no pro-rata or partial refunds. A help centre billing page describes refunds as "pro-rated and usage based", which contradicts the terms, so rely on the terms.
In practice that means you cannot try the product on a paid plan and still get your money back, because trying it uses credits. That is the same trap we found at Higgsfield. Judge the output on the Free plan in the product, which is watermarked, before you pay.
Plans renew automatically. Cancel from the Subscription page before renewal; you keep access to the end of the cycle, then the account drops to Free and unused paid credits expire. Credits do not roll over month to month either, except into a bigger plan when you upgrade. Top-up packs last 12 months but die with the subscription.
What 1,905 Trustpilot reviews say across two InVideo pages
Trustpilot keeps two InVideo profiles. The AI product at ai.invideo.io holds 3.0 from 889 reviews, split 62 percent five-star against 29 percent one-star. The main site at invideo.io holds 1.9 from 1,016 reviews, 57 percent five-star against 32 percent one-star. Both are barbells, the same shape we found on HeyGen, Higgsfield and Captions: most people are happy and a large minority is angry, with almost nobody in between.
The App Store tells the happy half of the story, 4.55 from 27,690 ratings. The one-star reviews in this category are almost always about commerce rather than craft: renewals, refunds and credits spent on a generation that did not come out right. With a refund right that ends at first use, credits that expire monthly and a published right to reprice credits without notice, InVideo has exactly the clauses that produce those reviews. Read a page of them before you commit a year.
What you own, and what agencies should check
The rights clauses are among the better ones in this category. The terms say you keep ownership of your content and of the outputs, and grant you a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and commercialise outputs, which survives cancellation. That is a better position than MakeUGC, whose terms in one place tie your rights to an active subscription, and than Arcads, whose licence is non-transferable.
On training, the terms say InVideo will not use your data to train or fine-tune its models. The pricing page, however, lists "No training on your data" as a feature only on Team, Scale and Enterprise. If a client contract bans vendors from training on their footage, get that inconsistency answered in writing before you upload client material on a self-serve plan.
Stock inside your video follows its own licence, so check the iStock terms for any clip you plan to run as a paid ad. Commercial disputes in the US go to AAA arbitration with a class-action waiver, with a 30-day window to opt out.
Where InVideo beats us outright, and you should buy it instead
If you need many kinds of video, buy InVideo. Explainers, faceless YouTube, B-roll, images, music and voiceover from one bill is something we do not attempt.
If you need landscape, square or cinema ratios, InVideo renders them and we render 9:16 only.
If you want to clone yourself and appear in your own ads, InVideo includes express avatar clones on every paid plan, and we do not clone real people.
If you want to hand-approve every shot before it is animated, the storyboard-first UGC agent does that and we return finished ads.
Where the comparison turns is ad testing at volume. Paid social is a search for the angle that works, and finding it takes a dozen attempts. On a meter where each ad costs whatever the model and the agent consume, every losing attempt is an unknown line on the bill. That is the case for a plan counted in finished ads, and plenty of teams run both: InVideo for the brand and YouTube work, a batch tool for the hooks. For the head-to-head with the avatar-first tools, see InVideo vs HeyGen.
What AdsGen does instead, including what it will not do
You paste a product URL. We read the page for the product, its claims and its images, write UGC-style scripts with several different hooks and angles, and return finished vertical video ads with AI presenters and burned-in captions, ready to upload to TikTok, Meta or Shorts. There is no credit meter and no model dropdown.
The limits, stated before you sign up. Output is 9:16 only, with captions burned in, so it suits paid social and does not suit a landscape YouTube pre-roll. It works from a product URL, so a thin or image-only product page gives the model less to work with. The presenters are generated, so they are not customers and must never be presented as testimonials. We do not make explainers, B-roll or music, and we do not clone your face, which are exactly the things people buy InVideo for.
You can see the output on your own product before paying. The demo above runs the real engine on a URL you paste.
Why teams pick AdsGen
The full UGC video ad, end to end
A plan counted in ads, not credits
InVideo charges each model at its own API rate and may change credit costs without notice. AdsGen plans are counted in finished ads, so you know the price of the twelfth variation before you make it.
Several angles per product, not one prompt
InVideo builds what your prompt describes. AdsGen reads your product page and writes different hooks and angles in one batch, because the first idea is rarely the winner.
Built for the feed you are buying
Native 9:16 with burned-in captions and a creator who reads as a person filming on a phone, sized for Meta, TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
