Creatify API Pricing 2026 and Cost Per 30-Second Ad

The Creatify API costs $99 a month for 500 credits or $299 for 2,000. A 30-second ad from a product URL uses 6 credits, about $1.19 on Starter and $0.90 on Pro, roughly a third of the app price. Aurora talking photos and Ad Clone are metered per second and per reference, and cost several times more.

The Creatify API costs $99 a month for 500 credits (API Starter) or $299 a month for 2,000 credits (API Pro), with Enterprise priced by quote. A 30-second ad from a product URL uses 6 credits through the API, about $1.19 on Starter and $0.90 on Pro, against $3.90 and $3.30 for the same ad in the Creatify app. The cheap rate holds only for URL to video and avatar lip sync. Aurora talking photos cost $3.17 to $8.51 per 30 seconds, and Ad Clone about $14.45 on Starter. We read the billing docs, every endpoint page, the pricing page code and the terms on 9 October 2026.

This guide is for a developer, a growth team or an agency about to subscribe to the Creatify API so ads can be generated from code. It covers what each plan costs per credit, what each endpoint charges, what a finished 30-second vertical ad costs by route, when the API beats the app and when it does not, and the clauses that matter if you deliver ads to clients. If you are pricing the web app instead, our Creatify pricing breakdown covers the Starter and Pro ladder, and the Creatify review scores the product as a whole.

How much does the Creatify API cost per month?

API Starter is $99 a month for 500 credits and API Pro is $299 a month for 2,000 credits. Pro is about 24.5 percent cheaper per credit and adds five times the concurrency of Starter plus a priority queue. Enterprise is a quote and is the only tier that lists a white label licence, custom avatar creation by API, Slack support and an SLA.

Both self-serve plans check out through the same subscription page as the app, monthly only. The API tab on the pricing page has no annual toggle, and the "save up to 50%" banner applies to the app plans, not the API. The pricing card describes usage as "about 5 to 10 credits per video ad, 0.5 credit per image ad", which is right for the two cheapest endpoints and badly wrong for the rest, as the table below shows.

There is also no overage. When the balance hits zero, the API returns an insufficient credits error and the job does not run. The docs point you to an add-on pack or an upgrade, but no add-on price is published for the API, and the terms allow only one account per customer, so you cannot stack two Starter plans. Budget as if Pro is the only step up from Starter.

What each Creatify API endpoint charges

Creatify bills most video endpoints in 30-second blocks, which is the most important line in the billing docs. A 15-second URL ad costs the same 5 credits as a 30-second one, and a script that renders to 31 seconds costs 10.

EndpointCreditsBilling unit
URL to video5Per 30 seconds, rounded up
Link (product page import)1Per link
AI avatar lip sync v1 or v25Per 30 seconds
Custom template video5Per 30 seconds
Aurora v1 talking photo1Per second, rounded up
Aurora Fast0.5Per second
Aurora 2.0, 720p0.7Per second
Aurora 2.0, 1080p1.4Per second
Ad Clone12Per 5 seconds of the reference ad
HTML interactive ad10Per ad
Text to speech1Per 30 seconds
AI script1Per request

Only create and generate calls spend credits. Listing and status calls are free. Two official pages disagree on Product Video: the billing page says 2 credits per image and 10 per 30 seconds of video, while the endpoint pages show 1 per image and a flat 3 per video. Budget at the higher billing page rate until a test job tells you otherwise, and check the balance endpoint after every new job type. The worked examples in the Aurora and Ad Clone docs also show credits_used values that do not match the written rates, so trust the text and measure.

What a 30-second vertical ad costs through the API

All of these routes support 9:16 output. The prices are one attempt at list, with no retries.

RouteCreditsAPI StarterAPI Pro
URL to video, new link6$1.19$0.90
URL to video, link reused5$0.99$0.75
Avatar lip sync, your script5$0.99$0.75

Aurora 2.0 720p plus voice22$4.36$3.29
Aurora v1 plus voice31$6.14$4.63
Aurora 2.0 1080p plus voice43$8.51$6.43
Product video, billing rate12$2.38$1.79
Ad Clone of a 30s reference73$14.45$10.91

In monthly capacity, API Starter covers about 83 URL ads or 100 lip sync ads, but only 16 Aurora v1 ads or 6 ad clones. Pro covers about 333 URL ads, 400 lip sync ads, 64 Aurora v1 ads or 27 clones. Ad Clone is billed on the length of the reference video you feed it, not on what it renders, so a 30-second reference costs 72 credits plus the link, about 14 times a URL ad.

Most ads need more than one attempt. If one render in three is good enough to spend money behind, multiply each row by three: a usable URL ad is about $2.70 on Pro, a usable Aurora v1 ad about $13.90.

Is the Creatify API cheaper than the Creatify app?

For URL and avatar ads, yes, by about three times per ad. The app charges 5 credits per 15 seconds, so a 30-second ad is 10 credits: $3.90 on the $39 Starter plan (100 credits) and $3.30 on the $99 Pro plan (300 credits). The API charges 5 or 6 credits for the same 30 seconds at 15 to 20 cents a credit.

30-second adCreditsCost per adAds a month
App Starter, $3910$3.9010
App Pro 300, $9910$3.3030
App Pro 5,000, $99910$2.00500
API Starter, $996$1.1983
API Pro, $2996$0.90333

The break-even is simple. At 10 ads a month or fewer, App Starter at $39 is the cheapest total bill. From 11 to 30 ads, App Pro and API Starter both cost $99, but the API delivers about three times the volume. Above 30 ads a month, the API wins on every comparison, even against the largest app tier.

There are two exceptions. Aurora talking photos are cheaper in the app, where a product video on the Aurora model costs 5 credits per 15 seconds, than through the API at 1 credit a second on v1. And the app gives free revisions on Pro when the script, avatar and voice are unchanged, while every API render is billed. Still, the choice is often made for you: the terms forbid any automated or programmatic method of generating assets through the app, so if your pipeline runs from code, the API is the only compliant route.

When does API Pro pay over API Starter?

As soon as you need more than 500 credits a month. With no published overage and one account per customer, Starter is a hard ceiling at about 83 URL ads, and Pro at $299 is the next self-serve step. If you are under 500 credits, Starter is cheaper in total even though each credit costs more. If your jobs queue up before your credits run out, Pro's five times concurrency is the reason to move, not the per-credit saving. The docs name more than 2,000 renders a month as the point to ask for Enterprise.

Plan for one more cost that is not on the pricing page: somebody has to build and maintain the pipeline. Creatify publishes no rate limits, URL to video takes about five minutes per job, and status has to be polled or received by callback. If no one on your team writes code, the API is a staffing decision before it is a pricing decision, and the cost of screening applicants for a developer role belongs in the same budget as the $299.

Creatify API terms that matter for agencies

The general terms, effective 23 September 2024, cover the API because no separate API terms page exists. The clauses that decide agency use are these.

  • Ownership. You own the original content in the assets you create and Creatify assigns its copyright to you, on two conditions: you may not use the assets to train AI, and use stays inside the moderation policy. Breach ends the agreement and the rights revert to Creatify.
  • Client delivery. Nothing in the terms bars handing finished ads to a client, and the pricing FAQ says you can use them in any channel after your plan ends.
  • Reselling the service. Reselling API access, or building a product that is mostly a Creatify front end, needs written permission, and white label is listed only on Enterprise. Using the service to build a competing product is prohibited.
  • Licence back to Creatify. You grant a perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable licence to your prompts, images and assets to provide, promote and improve the service, with no opt-out described.
  • Refunds and uptime. Payments are non-refundable except where law requires, prices can change at renewal or 30 days after notice, whichever is later, and no uptime is guaranteed outside Enterprise.
  • Law. California law, with exclusive venue in San Francisco County courts and no arbitration clause.

When the Creatify API is the right buy

It is the right buy if you generate product URL or avatar ads from code at more than about 30 a month, because it is the cheapest per-ad route Creatify sells and the only one its terms allow for automation. It is the wrong buy for Aurora talking photos or Ad Clone at volume, where the per-second and per-reference meters make each ad several times dearer than the pricing card suggests, and for anyone under 10 ads a month, where the $39 app plan costs less. If you are comparing avatar APIs, our HeyGen API pricing guide prices the same 30-second ad by the second, and the AI UGC video API pricing roundup puts five vendors side by side. If you are weighing Creatify itself against other tools, see our Creatify alternative page.

Where AdsGen fits instead

AdsGen does not compete on per-render price. You paste a product URL and it writes a batch of up to 20 UGC ad scripts across six angles, each with its own hook, then renders the ones you pick as 720p vertical presenter videos with burned-in captions. Plans carry a set number of script batches and renders a month, from $99 a month or $49 billed yearly, and our API is on the Enterprise plan with 120 batches and 12 renders a month. That suits teams who want the angle and script testing automated and render only the winners. If you need hundreds of rendered clips, Creatify's API is cheaper for that part of the job. You can run the script engine on your own product URL in the demo at the top of this page.

Creatify API pricing FAQ

How much does the Creatify API cost?

API Starter is $99 a month for 500 credits and API Pro is $299 a month for 2,000 credits, billed monthly. Enterprise is a custom quote. A 30-second ad from a product URL uses 6 credits, about $1.19 on Starter and $0.90 on Pro, before retries.

Is there a free Creatify API plan or trial?

No free API tier is published. API access comes with a paid API subscription, and the only free credits are on the app side. Test with a Starter month and read the balance endpoint after each new job type, because two doc pages disagree on some rates.

How many credits does a Creatify API video use?

URL to video and avatar lip sync use 5 credits per 30 seconds, rounded up to the next 30-second block, plus 1 credit per imported link. Aurora talking photos use 0.4 to 2.8 credits per second by model and resolution, and Ad Clone uses 12 credits per 5 seconds of the reference ad.

Do Creatify API credits roll over?

The API docs do not say. For app plans, the pricing FAQ says unused credits stay valid for two months. Treat unused API credits as lost at the end of the month unless Creatify confirms otherwise in writing.

What are the Creatify API rate limits?

Creatify publishes no numbers. The docs list a 429 rate limited status, Pro gets five times Starter's concurrency and a priority queue, and URL to video takes about five minutes a job. Ask the API team for limits in writing before you commit to volume.

Can I white label the Creatify API for clients?

Only on Enterprise. You own the finished ads and can deliver them to clients on any plan, but reselling access to the service or running it under your own brand needs Creatify's written permission, and the white label licence is listed on Enterprise only.

Let AdsGen make the ads instead

Paste a product URL and get a batch of UGC ad scripts with hooks for every angle, then render the ones you pick as creator-style videos with captions and native vertical sizing, ready to upload.

Test the idea on paper before you render the video.

Paste your product URL and AdsGen writes the hooks and scripts across every angle, then casts a realistic creator and renders the ones you pick as UGC video ads for every feed.

Plans from $49 a month. No creator invoices.
